WELCOME TO WAY TOO TUFT!
This isn't just about rugs, it's about turning art into opportunity. I'm glad you're here, and I hope my story inspires you to explore your own creativity, learn the craft, dream big, and build something that's truly your own.

HI, I'M OMARI
I've been a fiber artist since 2021, creating bold, custom rugs for clients and helping and inspiring others to get started in the tufting world. My passion is making the craft more accessible and easier to understand, whether you're learning for fun or building a business from it!

MY STORY
Art has always been part of my life. I was that kid always in art class sketching, painting, and creating from elementary through high school. I went to college and majored in business, but ended up dropping out in my sophomore year. Paying out of pocket got expensive, and it just didn’t feel like the right path at the time.
In 2021, I discovered tufting while working a 9-to-5 and looking for a better way to earn. I stayed consistent, and within eight months, I quit my job. A little over a year later, I made over $4,000 from a single client. That’s when it hit me, tufting wasn’t just a craft, it was a career move.
Now my mission is to help 10,000 people tap into the tufting world and use their creativity to earn real income. Whether you’re trying to make an extra $2,000–$5,000 a month or build something full-time, I’ve built the roadmap. Through my handbook, video courses, and community, I’m here to help you skip the guesswork and start building.

WHY DO I TEACH?
I started teaching tufting after seeing how it changed my life and my brother’s. Once I started earning consistent income from rug-making, I taught him everything I knew. Within six months, he gained over 10,000 followers and was making profit from his own custom rugs. That experience showed me how powerful this craft can be when shared.
I genuinely love tufting, the whole process from start to finish. Over the years, I’ve inspired many people to start, and I still get daily questions about how to begin. That interest pushes me to teach, grow the community, and help others escape the 9-to-5 grind like I did.
Teaching runs in my family. My mom was a teacher for 20+ years, and my dad, a carpenter taught us how to build and create early on. Now I’m continuing that legacy, helping others turn their creativity into freedom.
MY VALUES
I believe nothing in life is truly perfect, but you can get damn close when you give it your all. That’s how I approach tufting, teaching, and everything else I do. I value creativity, consistency, and staying grounded in the moment.
I’m grateful for the opportunities this craft has brought into my life, and even more grateful that I get to help others bring their visions to life. Turning someone’s idea into a piece of art is powerful, but teaching others how to do the same is next-level. It connects me with people all over the world and helps them connect with their own communities, too.
At the end of the day, I believe in showing up, having fun, and using your creativity to make an impact, one rug at a time!
